Dear Readers,
you know that I'm also loving to sew teddy bears and that I just started my little doll collection. Because of that I thought of opening another blog, where I can post about those things.
Aeternum Somnium will then be a full Sylvanian blog, which I think is a great idea! :) It's easier for me to show you more of my collection, because I'm planning a new site on this blog. It will be called "The buildings of Marigold Creek". I hope to give you a better overview of my village with the help of this site. :)
I hope you like the idea and I would be very happy if some of you (Looking especially at the doll collectors ^.^) would also join my new blog Of Dolls and Teddy Bears.

Not Sylvanian, but sooo lovely - My first Ai Doll
Dear Readers,
today I received a long awaited parcel! Inside the parcel my first Ai Doll was waiting for me.
Lovely Jane Chérie helped me getting the doll, because Ai Dolls are ridiculously expensive here.
Somehow our post delivered it to the wrong adress in my home village and was lost for more than a week. But suddenly my mum found a parcel in front of the door, somebody had brought it back to us. Phew! My mum then sent it to me and now I'm the proud owner of Rhodanthe. But I might rename her, it sounds so rough :D.
But Jane Chérie not just sent me the doll, she also included some goodies!
But let's take a first look at Rhodanthe. She came in this lovely like a book looking box, which is held closed by magnets.
She was wearing a cute dress, pants, a little blue velvet jacket and some tiny socks.
Included were also brown leather shoes, a cap and some eye putty.
She wanted to take of the jacket immediately, but I could persuade her to hold on for one photo.
Tadaa! Here she is with her shoes, the cap and the jacket on.
Yep- you see, I couldn't stop her pulling of the jacket. Isn't her dress adorable?
Her shoes are amazing, they are so tiny, but so well made at the same time. They even have a very stable sole!
Rhodanthe is a ball jointed doll, so she can move in variable ways. I can't wait to take more photos with her - but unfortunately, learning is much more important at the moment ^.^.
Then I also got this awesome Re-ment set!
It has the perfect size for Rhodanthe. Can you see all the tiny strawberries? I'm really amazed by this set, because I never had a Re-ment set before.
I also got this amazing miniature dollhouse!
It's also perfect for my little doll. Now she have something to play with. I hope to make her some dolls or/and plushies soon :).
Last but not least, I got these two delicious looking food plates.
Rhodanthe seems to like them too :D.
Thank you so much again for your help and your lovely surprises Jane! I really appreciated that :).
Oh and I have some special news: Pete's and Margarete's wedding story will be up in the next days :).

Tutorial: Mini Dollhouse
Dear Readers,
it's time for a new tutorial!
You might know, that the Tuxedo sisters love to play with dolls, so I made them a new doll house.
You need:
FIMO (in different colours)
FIMO liquid (but you can also use sugerglue later)
a pasta machine or a rolling pin
paper (for the measurements) & and a cutter/sharp knife for the FIMO
Step 1
We will first draw the basic walls of the house onto paper and cut them out. I used the following measurements:
The front: 2,5 x 3 cm
Both side walls: 2,5 x 1,5 cm
The Bottom: 3 x 1,5 cm
Both roof parts: 3 x 1, 5 cm
And the inner ceiling: 3 x 1,5 cm
Cut them out.
Step 2
Roll out a sheet of clay and place your measured house parts on it.
Here you see the front, the bottom and the two walls.
With the help of a sharp knife cut out all parts of the house. Now you can add a door and some windows.
I added the line for the later ceiling.
Step 3
Carefully press the parts together.
Now add the inner ceiling.
Prebake the house for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Roll out some red clay. Add the roof measurements and cut them out. Form the roof shape.
Because our roof should be closed in the front, carefully place the construction on a sheet of red clay.
Now cut around the edges, so you're having a nice closed roof.
Add a window if you want.
Step 5
Carefully press the roof at your prebaked house.
Now you can use the FIMO liquid to fill in empty space between the house and roof. Or cou can add superglue later to give the roof a better hold.
Bake the house for another 10 minutes.
Step 6
Let's make some dolls!
Form a tiny ball for the head. Carefully add some ears - you can use needle tools for that.
Form a simple body with feet and add a tail. Bake them.
Step 7
Cut out very small sheets of brown clay and add them to the windows to get some blinds. Cut out a bigger one to have a door. Attach them to the house.
I added also a red border, but that's optional.
Step 8
Now make as many little furniture pieces like you want.
And you're finished :).

I'm sorry that I won't be able to post very often in the coming 5 weeks - I have to do lot's of Uni work, but I'm sure that I will do a few posts :).

Yes, you see right - one of my window sheets is on the bottom :(. Unfortunatly it slipped while it was baking, so I can't remove it now :/.

I make them really simple looking, but of course you can make them also more detailed. Add them to the house and bake the whole house again.
And you're finished :).

Christmas presents - reviewing my newest achievements
Dear Readers,
I was spoiled with lovely Christmas gifts this year! Besides "normal world stuff" I got also 5 new Sylvanian families sets.
My boyfriend gave me three sets: the hedgehog family, the dining table set and the triple bunk beds-set :).
The dining table set will go into Highfield farm, it seems that little Alice likes her new place.
The bunk beds will go to the Tuxedo's household, I'm sure the triplets will be happy to have own beds now. What I especially like at this set are the different options to place the beds.
Now to my newest family.The hedgehogs are sooo cute, I love their smiling faces and their fur is very soft. The stings make them look very fluffy, what I think is so adorable!
I will mix their names a bit. So they will be called Mortimer, Eleanor, Franz (because the boy just looks like a cute Franz) and Greta von Stachel (which is the German family name and can be translated as "of sting").
The von Stachel's will be the owners of my brand new village store, which I got from my parents.
With the village store came another new villager: Miss Millicent Fisher. I don't yet know if she will work in the supermarket, but we will see :). Millicent is very happy to show you the new shop.
This is it from the front and that's it from the side.
Inside you find tons of delicious food! A nice cart facilitates the shopping tour.
Fresh fruits, vegetables and fish...
What I especially like here is, that most of the fruits and vegetable are attached, but you can use one loose fruit to play with. I know that a lot of people don't like that they're attached, but I always have to carry my buildings in another room when I take pictures and often all the little accessoires fall down in a mess. So it's ideal for me :D.
... ice cream in a freezer...
... cold goods, which are stored in a nice fridge...
...magazines...
... a wonderful baking goods area (love that little bag)...
... dry goods in the cupboard...
...and some more little cans at the cash register. Here kind Mrs. von Stachel serves you.
And a few more pictures through the windows! I'm very happy about the village store and can't wait to write some stories, where it will be featured!
Last but not least, another wonderful villager came to Marigold Creek: Cecil Maces, the professionell photographer! I got this awesome set from Aranera as a Christmas present. We both sent us a little set for Christmas and opened it at the day the donor celebrates Christmas. So I opened mine on the 25th of December.
Cecil comes with some lovely photo accessoires, I especially love the camera!
You can turn the pages in the little photo albums, which is really cool!
I heard that Cecil will make the photos of Margaret and Pete's wedding ;).
You see, I'm reeeeeeaaaally happy about every single present I got. They're so amazing! :)
I hope you enjoyed this little tour :). I will take new photos of all my villagers soon - I know I have to add all the bios of the new villagers too^^.
