Tutorial: How to make a bed using polymer clay

Dear Readers,

I recently tried something new. Mrs. Edith Snow-Warren proudly presents her new bed:

I think it looks quiete nice and it was really easy to make.

If you want to make your own polymer clay bed, you need:

- FIMO or another polymer clay
- cardboard
- pasta machine or rolling pin
- a Sylvanian families bed (or use my pattern)

Step 1:

Take your bed, lay it on a piece of paper and trace the shape onto the paper.

Trace the head piece and stilt (I used the stilt two times, because I needed a lower bed) and the side parts.

If you don't have a bed yet, just write me an e-mail, and I send you a pdf :). Write at: kyraja91@gmail.com

Step 2:

Now roll out a sheet of clay. Now you just have to lay your patterns on the clay and use a sharp knife to cut out the shape.

Step 3:

Bake the parts and glue them together. You'll have the basic frame.

Step 4:

Cut out a fitting rectangle of carboard and glue it into the frame.
Add a mattress and some bedding and your done :).

Alice also likes the new bed of her grandparents, but she prefers her rocking horse.

I hope you enjoyed that little tutorial. I did also another bed for my Ai Doll Rhodanthe and I would be happy if you would take a look ^.^. This is a wrought-iron looking bed and if you're interested in reworking it, here's the link. You can also adapt the bed into Sylvanian size of course.

Many greetings,

yours Kyra

PS: Bobby's picture is uploaded :)
