An awesome trade with Paige

Dear Readers,

yesterday afternoon I received a parcel from Paige (please take a look at her wonderful blog Sylvanian Living)... And what a parcel!

When I opened it I first detected this beautifully drawn picture! Do you recognize all the villagers of Marigold Creek? I was really amazed when I saw it and I hope I can add a scan to my blog :).

I found lots of amazing things in my parcel.
Paige bought me not just the cute Tuxedo triplets (which were part of our trade)...
She also bought me this awesome "Have a playdate"-set as a birthday present. Isn't that lovely? The Hawthorns will be thrilled to have two new family members. And the little dog  (called Sparky) will be also adopted soon :). I love the tiny clothes and toys, which came with the set. I'm sure you will see them soon "live in action" in a story :).

Than kind Paige also sent me this package of goodies for my villagers. I know they will love them all :D.

We also agreed on some handmade things... Paige made me some trees (I asked her after I see her beautiful diorama!). Aren't they stunning?

And delicious popcorn and nachos :).

And she also added more flowers and plants, which I can use for my village. Now Marigold Creek will be finally green and will more look like the forest village it is ment to be :D.

Thank you so much for this wonderful trade, Paige, I enjoyed it very much! I'm so happy with my new achievements, which will leed to many new stories! :). I can't wait for our next trade :)

I hope you're all feeling well. I wish you a nice and relaxing weekend :)

Many greetings,
yours Kyra

Unexpected Visitors

Dear Readers,

it's time for a new story. Enjoy :)

.................................................................................................

The sun was shining, but a cold wind made the weather not that cozy on this special Friday morning.
Daisy Buttercup was cleaning up the sleeping rooms of their house. While Elizabeth stayed in the nursery, Paddock and Annabel were on their way to the school in Pumpkinvilles. Her husband Hornbull was working on the field, the last crops had to be harvested.

Daisy thought about her children, luckily Marigold Creek had a nursery, but the school wasn't finished yet and teachers were also missing. The cow sighed, hopefully the building would be finished soon.
She finished the cleaning and went downstairs in the kitchen of their farmhouse. Daisy had planned to bake a cherry tarte, so she started making the dough.

At this moment suddently the door bell rung.
Surprised Daisy looked at the door. Who might that be?

Irritated the cow cleaned her hands with a towel, than she opened the door.

"DAISY! My little butterflower!", an exciting older cow screamed.
Before Daisy could react, her mother flung her arms around her neck and started to chatter.

"You look great! As beautiful as ever! And your fur! Do use a special shampoo? Where is your darling Hornbull? And where are my little grandchildren? I missed them so much! We have moved to Marigold Creek! Great news, right? For the first weeks we of course have to stay here at your house. But... Isn't that great! We finally can spend much time together!"

"Hornbull is on the field,  the children are in school and nursery...", Daisy started to answer, than she stopped, "WHAT? You moved to Marigold... What did you say?"

Bessie Buttercup rushed into the house of her daughter.
"Mum?", a bit angry Daisy looked after her.

"You know that's her nature.", said Angus, Daisy's father, excusing.
"Hey dad!", sighing she hugged her father.

"Hey, little butterflower!", Angus kissed her forehead, "I wanted to call you before we left, but you know your mother. She wanted to surprise you!"

"Dear, dear...", Daisy shook her head, "So you left Pumpkinvilles?"
"We did... And not just us two..."
"Elsie?", surprised Daisy detected her younger sister, who had a soft smile on her face.
The two woman hugged eachother tightly.

"Why are you here? And where is Marcus?"
Sadness darkened Elsie's pretty face, "This idiot left me for a slimmer woman!"
"Oh Elsie! I'm so sorry!", worried Daisy towed her sister softly into the house, "Please come in and than I'll make you a huge cup hot chocolate!"
"Thank you!"

A few minutes later Elsie sat together with a hot chocolate on the cozy sofa of her sister and listened to her mother, who explained (in a very complicated way), why they left Pumpkinvilles.

"... and than there were our neighbours! You remember the Cottontails? They left half a year ago, sadly. And in their house the most horrible persons moved in! The Prunes! Mrs. Prune was so curious, one day I caught her spying Angus. She even used field classes! That annoying person! And her husband was even bolder! He threw their trash over their fence directly into our garden! Can you imagine that?  And not forget their bad children! They smashed four of our windows with stones! And... And our postman! Mr. Perfidious! He always waited until we left the house and than rung for our parcels. Of course we weren't at home than. He always left a note "You weren't here. You must fetch your parcel in the office". I knew he acted in bad faith!", Bessie shook her head, "Isn't that just horrible? You see, we had to leave. There wasn't any other possibility!"

Daisy sighed, but she did understand her parents. They weren't happy anymore in the last years in Pumpkinvilles. But still... They should have announced their move to Marigold Creek! When Hornbull returned, he would throw his hands up in horror... He for sure would...

"Angus? Bessie? And... Elsie, you too?", a surprised Hornbull said at that moment.
All cows turned their head to the front door, where Daisy's husband stood.

"Did something happen? I mean... I'm happy to see you, not that you get it wrong, but...?"
"Hornbull, dear!", Bessie sprinted to her son-in-law and hugged him tightly, "We have wonderful news!"

After the whole story was told again (in all details), Hornbull breathed out, "Ouff! That is... That is... I think that is a surprise! Good that we bought that sleeper couch..."

"We really don't want to stay too long at your house. Just for a few days, we don't want to be a pain in your neck.", Angus said with a drastic sight at his wife.
"Days? Darling, days!?", Bessie exclaimed, "A new home can't be found in a few days!"
Angus hid his face behind a cushion, "I'm so sorry!"

Hornbull laughed, "It's okay. You're all welcome here and you can stay as long as you want!"

"Oh dear... You shouldn't have said that...", whispered Daisy, "A few days ok... But you know it will turn into weeks... months... Oh my god, years!" Her last words were spoken out loud, but Hornbull coughed that loud, that her parents didn't hear her slight hysterical words.

While Hornbull immediatly started to chat with Angus and Elsie, Daisy finished the cake she was making.

"Daisy?", Bessie layed her arm around her daughter, "I will try to hold myself back, ok? I promise. I know I can be very exhausting. Just yesterday Angus blustered with me about my behaviour."
"Dad blustered?", Daisy had to laugh, "Than it must have been serious!"
"It was.", the woman giggled, "I overdid it with the packing of the bags."
"Oh mum!", smiling Daisy gave her a kiss on the cheeks, "But believe me, I'm happy to see you."

While Angus and Bessie were gone for a walk (Hornbull showed them the newest buildings in Marigold Creek), Daisy tried to comfort her sister.

"I'm just not good enough!", sadly Elsie sipped at her chocolate, "I can never be so slim like that other cow!"
"And you don't have to look like that! You're beautiful! Markus doesn't deserve a woman like you! He was an idiot. And I'm sure you'll find a much better man soon!"

"You always think positiv..."
Daisy patted her, "You'll see, that I'm right!"
"Hmh... I hope so..."
"But tell me about your bicycle! I saw a little ice-cream sign!"
Elsie smiled and wipped a tear out of her eye, "I'm planning to open a little ice-cream shop. Do you rember grandma Emma's ice creams?"
"Of course, they tasted heavenly!"
"I found her recipes and thought it might be a good idea to sell the ice..."
"That's a gorgeous idea, Elsie! We all will love your ice-cream!", Daisy glared, "It will be wonderful especially for the children of the village."

"Phew... I'm glad you like my idea. Also I thought that I can earn my own money than... I always just helped mum and dad with their business..."
"It was a good decision and we all will support you!"
"Thank you!"

Elsie felt better immediatly, her sorrows slowly disappeared and she was happy that she left Pumpkinvilles and Markus behind.

When the three Buttercup children came home this day, the excitement was huge. All were very happy to see their grandparents and their aunt.

For Anabell and Paddock the stay of the grandparents at their house was "super cool", while little Elizabeth fastened onto her grandma and told her everything about the nursery.

It got late this evening. Daisy cooked a fantastic stew and after dinner they all played Monopoly together.

When Daisy and Hornbull went to sleep this day, they knew, that there would come a funny but also very exhausting time up to the family with more family members at their house.

To be continued...
.................................................................................................

Bad me stopped at that moment, I know, I know... :D But I thought it might be funny to read a few more stories about the Buttercups, especially because I hadn't the time to broach the issue of them earlier. And I love the Buttercups, so it will be fun to write about them more stories.

You see my rustic kitchen arrived and I must say, I adore this design! It fit's perfectly into a farmhouse.
But more things must be done until I'm finished with the house... I have to add curtains in the second floor and of course the childrens room still have to been furnished (I'm waiting for the other furniture to arrive). Also I thought about decorating the walls with a few pictures...

I hope you liked the story, wish you all a very nice evening! :)

Many greetings,
yours Kyra

A new house, some orders and Janes Giveaway

Dear readers,

today I want to show you my newest achievement: The Larchwood lodge.
I once again had good luck on ebay and I got the house for a really great prize. Although 2 little fence pieces on the front and the drawer under the house is missing, I really don't care. The rest of the house is in an excellent condition.

When I received the parcel I first was a bit shocked of it's size. It's so huge compared to the other houses I have! But I like that, so I my Tuxedo cat family will have enough space there to live.
Now finally also my Tuxedos will have their own private home and won't be living in the Hamburger Restaurant anymore :D.

Here are some pictures of the empty house.

I really like the design of the house with all the windows and the balcony. The staircase is also favourite of mine, it's so nice to have a "real" one in a house and no ladders :D. What do you think of the house?

I also ordered a few sets for my other two houses, so I can slowly finish them.

For the Petites house: The telephone set

For the Buttercups farm: The rustic kitchen set; this loft bed set for the older children and this cute little bed set for Elizabeth Buttercup.

I hope they arrive soon, because I've already finished a new story about the Buttercups. So you see I NEED the furniture^^.

Also I was wondering which family I should choose to be my future teachers of my country tree school.
I thought of the hedgehogs, the kangaroos, the chiffon dogs and finally the chocolate labradors.
Finally I decided to go for the labradors, because they looked most like I imagine a teacher (But no, I'm not looking like a labrador... lol... Just joking^^). They have such a calm expression, but look seriously at the same time.
Now I'm just looking for a good prize to get them, because they're not available in Germany. Hope I'll find them soon.
.................................................................................................
Last but not least, I want to point out Janes wonderful blog and the lovely giveaway she's hosting at the moment. Also more giveaways will come up this month on her blog, which is so amazing I think. Please take your time and look at her site, she writes wonderful posts, reviews and more :).
.................................................................................................

That's for today, University stuff is calling me back to work. I'm looking forward to post a new story and working on some projects soon. The shoe shop will be finished soon, and the farmers market has now some shrimps.

And what about some grape-cheese snacks?

Many greetings, hope to write you soon,

yours Kyra

A brother for Mazie

Dear Readers,

the following story had to wait since weeks on my computer, before I could take the photos. The house where I live is covered in fog everyday, so it's quiete dark.
You can imagine that it's not that much fun to walk through cold and fog to the University (which had started on Monday), but it would be also silly to take the car, because it's just a 10 minutes walk :D.
But finally, here it is: Enjoy little Mazie, Harry and their family!

.................................................................................................

It was monday morning and Michael Hawthorne was totally worn-out. His wife Katie was taken into hospital all of a sudden: Their baby was coming!
While Katie already was carried by the ambulance, Michael tried to behave normal.

He carefully helped Mazie to put on her clothes, but in his excitement he forgot the shoes.

After that Michael called Molly McBurrow and informed her about the sudden event.

Molly agreed immediatly to take care of the nursery in the next days. Relieved Michael started to prepare some breakfast for his daughter.

"What do you want to eat, honey?"
"Where is mommy?", Mazie asked with big eyes, "Is she ill?"

"Oh no, she's not ill. Your brother wants to come earlier than expected."
"Oh... I will meet Harry today? But why isn't mommy here. She can't see Harry than!" Michael had to laugh, "No my little Camembert, mommy will meet Harry in hospital!"

Mazie thought about that answer, than she nodded.
That sounded understandable.
Why should little Harry come all the way alone to their house? Of yourse mommy had to fetch him and carry him home, like she did with Maizie, when she was at one of her friends home.

"We must hurry a bit, because I have to take you to the nursery. Molly will take care of you and your friends. I will go to mommy, that she won't be alone in the hospital."
"Harry is for sure scared, you must be there daddy!"
Softly Michael kissed his little daughter, "You're such a wonderful girl! Would you like to have a salami bread for breakfast?"
"Oh yes!"

Just a few minutes later, the two mice rushed to the nursery. Molly McBurrow waved, "Good morning! How are you Maizie?"
"Fine. Harry will come home today!", the little mouse proudly said.

"That's wonderful!  I'm sure you're looking forward to see him!"
"Yes!!!!"
Molly smiled and pointed at the nursery, "Monty is already here, if you want, you can go in."

"Oh great! We want to draw a picture together. Goodbye daddy!"
Michael hugged his daughter, before she was gone.

"Everything will be fine! I promise!", Molly said, after she saw the worried face of the mouse.
"But it's too early!"

The mole woman hugged him softly, "Monty was also a bit to early. Don't worry, our doctors are well prepared. Katie and little Harry will be fine!"

"I hope so... I'm so worried...", Michael sighed, "But thank you Molly! Your words calmed me down a bit. But still..."
Molly smiled, "It's ok to be worried. But it'll be fine!"
"Hmh... Now I will go to the hospital, Katie for sure misses me already!"

"Take care! And send her my best wishes!"
"Thank you!"

Maizie had a wonderful day at the nursery, together with Monty she draw a beautiful picture...

...than all the children played together in the new ball pit...

...before Molly taught the ABC to them.

After the nursery,  Mazie went home with Molly and Monty.

It was 3 o'clock in the afternoon, when a very excited Michael Hawthorn appeared at the McBurrows home to fetch his daughter up.

"Daddy!"
"Maizie!", he hugged her tight, "Will you come with me to the hospital? Little Harry is there!"
"Yes!"

"Congratulations Michael!", said Digger and gave him a short manly hug.
"Thank you! I'm so glad everything went fine! But he's so tiny!"

"Monty was also just a handful mole, I was afraid of holding him.", laughed Digger,  "Our other children were taller than him."
The man chatted another few minutes before Michael and Maizie left.

Half an hour later they arrived at the hospital. Fascinated Maizie looked at her little brother, who slept tight at their mothers side.
"He's so cute!", said the young mouse.

Two days later, Katie and Harry were allowed to go home. Maizie had drawn a welcome paper with the help of her father.

"Oh, how wonderful!", Katie kissed her daughter, "You're a great artist, my little Camembert!"

Maizie giggled, than she looked at Harry, who was awake and tried to catch her hand.
"Hello Harry!"
"He says also hello!", laughed Michael.
"When can he talk?"

Katie smirked, "Soon, you must be patient."
"Ok.... Will Harry eat Fondue with us?"
"Not yet, he just drinks milk at the moment. When you was a little baby you also did this."
"Really?", Maizie wondered, "But... But milk doesn't make full!"
"A baby will be full. Harry can drink just milk at the moment and than some mush."

Maizie understood, but still she felt sad for little Harry. Just drinking milk must be boring!

The next days were exhausting, Harry often was awake at night and screamed. Maizie couldn't sleep, like her parents. Than mommy or daddy stood up hugged Harry and sang lullabys to him. Mostly Maizie fell asleep at that moment too. She loved her little brother, although he woke her up.

But than their were those moments, when Maizie really wondered, why her mommy was so patient with her brother. She never said: "Be quiete, Harry!" or "Take care of your clothes, when you're eating!"
She just said, "Sssch, mommy is here." or "Aw, isn't he cute, when he tries to hold the milk bottle?"
And daddy also laughed and made fun with Harry.

But if Maizie would spill some milk over her dress, her parents would say : "Oh no, Maizie! Take care! Now we have to clean everything!"
Or if she would scream, her daddy would hold his ears and tell her: "Maizie, you're a big girl! Don't do that!"

At those moments Maizie was huffy... Very huffy. She even went to little Harry and poke her tongue out at him. Wasn't that unfair? Harry got the whole attention and he could do what he want?

It was again one of those moments: Little Harry bowled down his mush and her daddy laughed, "Did it taste so bad? My cooking skills aren't the best I suppose."

And her mommy giggled, before she cleaned Harrys clothes.

"THAT'S UNFAIR!", screamed Maizie suddently. Scared her parents looked at her.

"Darling, what is unfair?", worried Katie sat at Maizies side.
"You... You... You don't grumble with Harry, when he... he spills his food!", tears dropped over her face, "And I... I would get trouble... And he is more important than me!"

"Oh, my little Camembert!", softly her mommy layed the arms around her daughter, "Harry is as important as you are. We love you Maizie and that will never change!"

Michael joined them, "Harry is just so small, he needs our help. Do you remember yesterday, when you helped me changing his nappies?"
Mazie nodded.
"He couldn't do that alone. Harry needed the help of his big sister and his daddy.", he smiled, "I know it's hard for you. When uncle Morris was born, I felt the same way. I was even jealous on him!"
"Really?", Maizie wipped the tears from her face, "I... I'm not jealous... I want that... that you also play with me... And that I... that I won't be in trouble, when I spill something over me!"

Katie and Michael looked at each other, smiled and than cuddled their daughter tight, "We promise!"
A bright smile returned to Maizies face, "I love you!"
"We love you, too, Maizie."
"And I love Harry too!", she giggled, "Although he's a mucky pup!"

At that moment Harry started to chuckle, than he laughed and clapped his hands. He babbled, while his mother sat him on the soft floor.

Than the little white mouse crawled towards his big sister.

Maizie looked at him and said softly: "Let's play together!"
.................................................................................................

I hope you enjoyed that little story. I wanted to introduce Harry Hawthorne, because it would be bit unrealistic, if he suddently appeared :D. Also I was very happy to play again with the nursery - I really adore this little building.
Unfortunatly I couldn't take a photo of Mazie poking our her tongue, it was already too late to take good photos. I hope you don't mind

Many greetings,
yours Kyra
