Dear readers,
today I want to show you my newest achievement: The Larchwood lodge.
I once again had good luck on ebay and I got the house for a really great prize. Although 2 little fence pieces on the front and the drawer under the house is missing, I really don't care. The rest of the house is in an excellent condition.
When I received the parcel I first was a bit shocked of it's size. It's so huge compared to the other houses I have! But I like that, so I my Tuxedo cat family will have enough space there to live.
Now finally also my Tuxedos will have their own private home and won't be living in the Hamburger Restaurant anymore :D.
Here are some pictures of the empty house.
I really like the design of the house with all the windows and the balcony. The staircase is also favourite of mine, it's so nice to have a "real" one in a house and no ladders :D. What do you think of the house?
I also ordered a few sets for my other two houses, so I can slowly finish them.
For the Petites house: The telephone set.
For the Buttercups farm: The rustic kitchen set; this loft bed set for the older children and this cute little bed set for Elizabeth Buttercup.
I hope they arrive soon, because I've already finished a new story about the Buttercups. So you see I NEED the furniture^^.
Also I was wondering which family I should choose to be my future teachers of my country tree school.
I thought of the hedgehogs, the kangaroos, the chiffon dogs and finally the chocolate labradors.
Finally I decided to go for the labradors, because they looked most like I imagine a teacher (But no, I'm not looking like a labrador... lol... Just joking^^). They have such a calm expression, but look seriously at the same time.
Now I'm just looking for a good prize to get them, because they're not available in Germany. Hope I'll find them soon.

Last but not least, I want to point out Janes wonderful blog and the lovely giveaway she's hosting at the moment. Also more giveaways will come up this month on her blog, which is so amazing I think. Please take your time and look at her site, she writes wonderful posts, reviews and more :).

That's for today, University stuff is calling me back to work. I'm looking forward to post a new story and working on some projects soon. The shoe shop will be finished soon, and the farmers market has now some shrimps.
And what about some grape-cheese snacks?
Many greetings, hope to write you soon,
yours Kyra
You are SO lucky again to get things! I have larchwood lodge aswell, except mine is the bluey greeney roof version. I love the grape cheese snacks =)
AntwortenLöschenEmily
The green roofed one is very nice! Thank you :)
Löschenbeautiful house! I love it. I bet the Tuxedos are happy to be moving into a new and improved home!! ^^ The shrimps you made are excellent too, they look so realistic!
AntwortenLöschen:D yes, they're very happy! Natalie already makes plans for the interior:D Thank you! :)
LöschenI love the new house! I got mine for quite a high price so I am glad you got yours for fairly cheap. You are not missing anything important because the drawer and front fence are not adding much to the house look. I love the shrimps and grape with cheese! Very realistic! Thank you so much for mentioning my giveaway! Good luck with your university work!
AntwortenLöschenThank you, now I'm feeling better about the drawer :) It was my pleasure! Thank you :)
LöschenSuch an amazing house! Can't wait to see all your houses finished! :D :D Love, love LOVE the clay food, especially the grape and cheese (grape and cheese is my favourite snack!) also great choice on the Labradors, they will fit right into your village! Do you mean the new or older chocolate labs? :D I agree with Jane, the drawer does not seem to add much. Anyway, great post!
AntwortenLöschenI love grape and cheese too :D. Thank you, I can't wait to finish the houses either :D.
LöschenHmh... I like both versions. But after Paiges kind offer I think I'll go for the new version :D
I LOVE the house!! So happy you got it, these usually go for a lot in US so glad you got a good price! Your clay creations are lovely as always! I'm so jealous of all your new buildings (i mean this in the best of ways of course;) Are you looking for the new Chocolate labs? They have the new ones here, if you want I could pick them up for you. :)))
AntwortenLöschenPick them up for her, pick them up for her, pick them up for her. LOL ;-D
Löschen:D :D :D
Löschen:D thank you! I don't know what it is with my ebay luck at the moment, I got all my houses very cheap. I hope you'll have good luck too! :)
LöschenThat's so kind of you! :) We could make a new trade about the labradors than? Of course after our actual parcels arrived :D
Yes that would be wonderful! I'll email you right away! :)))
LöschenFantastic house--what a great find! You can make your own banisters for the porch or lay a rug down instead! :-) That must have been a wonderful package to receive in the mail! Love your mini foods too! Good luck in Jane's giveaway! xo Jennifer
AntwortenLöschenThat's a great idea with the banister! Thank you for the tip and the compliment :). Aw, thank you, I hope to have good luck!
LöschenOoh I love this house! Amazing find, and the family will be so happy there, maybe they can have babies then! Triplets!!! Also the furniture purchases are fantastic and will suit the houses, but yes they should hurry, as Im so curious about that story!
AntwortenLöschenThank you EB :). I'm looking forward to the arriving of the triplets, they'll have lot of space to play around :).
LöschenI'll try my best to finish the story soon as soon as I have the furniture :)
Congratulations on the good deal! This is one of my favorite Sylvanian houses because it’s beautiful shape and practical space for lots of decoration possibilities. Tuxedo cat family is very lucky to have the new home. Did you make the little shrimps? They look so tiny and cute. I look forward to the decoration in this new house and I’m sure you will do a great job as always. :)
AntwortenLöschenThank you! :) You're right the shape of the house is very nice. Yes I made the shrimps myself- thank you very much for the compliment. I hope so :)
LöschenCongrats on your new purchase! I love the Larchwood Lodge because they look like they're made out of logs. I hope to own too someday for one of smaller families :)
AntwortenLöschenThank you :). It really is a special design, you're right. I hope you'll get one soon :)
LöschenCongratulations, again! Larchwood Lodge is so detailed and quaint, you are very lucky.
AntwortenLöschenOnce again, you amaze me with your handmade foods (shrimp was such a creative idea, it looks great!) I tried my hand at some cheese yesterday, and failed miserably.
How do you get the other clay pieces to stop from moulding into the clay you're using at the moment?
Thanks,
MW
Thank you so much Mia! :)
AntwortenLöschenI'm sorry to hear about your cheese :(. Should I make a tutorial? Hmh... Do you mean the cheese or the shrimps? If you mean the cheese, I press the clay very carefully together. And for the shrimps... I stacked the colours together, until it looked like a little striped tower and that I cut it in smaller pieces and carefully rolled them between my fingers.
I hope I could help, if not, you know, you can always e-mail me too :)
