“Paddock, Anabell? Are you
coming?”, Hornbull waited in the kitchen.
“Do you all wear gloves?”, asked
Daisy. The children nodded. “And your boots? Your scarves?”
Her husband laughed, “Nothing
will happen, my love. Don’t worry. I take care of them!”
Daisy sighed, "I know, but still..." Hornbull kissed her softly, then he and the children said goodbye and walked to the near by forest to catch this years Christmas tree.
"I'm so excited! Will we have a big tree?", Anabell asked.
"Oh yes, a big one please!".
Their father grinned, "Look at all those trees here, I think you have free choice!"
After he said those words the two Buttercups run through the forest, looking at all kinds of different trees. It was very hard to choose THE Christmas tree. Anabell and Paddock discussed the pros and contras on nearly every tree, until they suddently stood before a wonderful, huge tree.
"That's it!", Paddock said.
"The Buttercup's Christmas tree!", Hornbull smiled, "You found a wonderful tree!"
It took over an hour until the tree was felled, but then it was done and the tree could be transported to the farm.
"Oh wow!", Daisy opened the door and stared at the tree, "It's huge!"
"That's the best Christmas tree ever!", Elizabeth yelled.
"Glad you like it, little Honeyflower!", Hornbull said, "We will all decorate it together shortly before Christmas eve!"
"I really can't wait for that day to come!", Paddock meant.
Together the family admired the tree, knowing that it would look wonderful with all the Christmas ornament balls.
