8th of December

Muddy slowly
opened his eyes and yawned.
He didn’t hear a clock or his mother telling him to get up. He also didn’t hear his sister moaning.
He didn’t hear a clock or his mother telling him to get up. He also didn’t hear his sister moaning.
The young mole
boy paused, something was wrong!
“Good morning,
my late riser!”, his mother grinned. She sat in one of the seats and was sewing
a new dress for a lady in Evergreen Village.
“What is going
on here? Today is Wednesday, I…. Oh no!”, shocked Muddy detected the clock,
which said that it was already lunch time, “I… I forgot to go to school! Why
didn’t you wake me up, mum? And where’s Milly?”
“Calm down,
everything is ok. The streets are frozen, so the busses can’t drive anymore.
This morning the school called and told me that you have all a day off! And
Milly is playing with the other children outside. I’ve heard they’re making a
snowball fight!”
Muddy jumped in
the air, “Yippieh! No school today! I must go outside immediately!”
“Don’t you want
to have a breakfast first?”, asked Molly, but her son didn’t hear her.
He rushed into
the children’s room, put on his coat and run outside.
The mole
grinned, “Of course! We will conquer them!”
In full activity
both teams played against each other, in the end all children were covered in
snow and laid laughing on the floor.

LöschenStreets are frozen, so busses can't drive? Do you have that in Germany? I thought that only happened in America. Well, anyway it looks like Monty had great time with his friends!
AntwortenLöschenYes, we have this sometimes in Germany. I remember a few winters, where we couldn't go to school because of the snow - that was always great :D
