14th of December
..........................................................................
It was a cloudy Sunday
afternoon in Marigold Creek, the wind howled and made the blinds move.
"I'm scared mommy
!", Victoria said and crawled on her mothers lap.
Margarete hugged her, "Don't worry nothing will happen to us, the wind is outside and can't come in!"
"And daddy will rescue us!", little Ron Petite sat on his fathers shoulders.
Pete laughed, "Of course I will rescue all of you! But now, would you like to hear a story?"
Both children cheered - the other two little Petite babies slept tight in their beds. Even the wind couldn't wake them up.
Margarete lit the third candle
on the advent wreath. Just one more light and Christmas would be there!
Then she placed some gingerbread and Christmas cookies at the table. Immediatly
Ron and Victoria fetched themselves some cookies, while their father opened a
big book.
"The story about the lost
flour...", with a warm voice Pete started to read.
They heard about the Christkind who wanted to bake cookies with her angeles. But the tiniest of the angeles had lost the flour. But together all the angels searched for the flour and short before chaos broke out, they found it and the cookies could be baked.

"...and if you see a red
evening sky, you know that the Christkind is baking cookies."
Ron clapped his hands, "Like yesterday?" His mother nodded, "Exactly."
"That looked very pretty.", said Victoria, "I'm happy the angeles found the flour!"
Pete smiled, "Me too. Can
you imagine what could have happened if they hadn't found them?"
"Chaos!"
"And the whole heaven would be very hungry!"
"That could be... Apropos
hungry..", Pete got himself a cookie.
Margarete laughed, "Should I
make hot chocolate?"
The children and also her husband cheered.
Together the family enjoyed
the chocolate and the warmth of the house. And a few minutes later also Pippin
and Marmalade joined them and got their own cup of hot chocolate, while Pete
started to read a new story…
Have a nice and peaceful Sunday everybody :) |
Awwww, such a cute story! Is this a well known story in Germany? (I mean the lost flour story!) anyway, I loved this addition to the advent calendar!
AntwortenLöschenThank you :).
LöschenHmh... I think the smallest angel often plays an important part, but I just imagined the lost flour :D. Or maybe I heard something as a child. :)
So cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute! I really have to make an advent wearth, did the petite adopt Pipin and Marmalade?
AntwortenLöschenEmily
:) thank youuuu- I like the advent wreath also very much! Hnh... good question, I haven't thought of it yet, if they're adopted or just their normal kids with a slightly different colour :D
LöschenSo sweet! I love the story about the flour & angels. I like how the kids colors are a bit different, like how animals would be in real life! Margaretes dress is exquisite!
AntwortenLöschenThank you:). Yes, I thought the same, maybe they inheritated the fur from their grandparents :D
LöschenYes, so sweet! And a daddy must be their to protect and rescue his family.
AntwortenLöschen:) exactly. Thank you! :)
LöschenAww I love how Pete went to comfort them, so sweet. I love the advent wreath, reminds of the ones worn on St. Lucy's day. :)
AntwortenLöschenDo Margarete and Pete have quadruplets or what? I wish there had been a story about their birth, or did I just miss it...
AntwortenLöschen:D I will write one about them - it will be something like a review story
