Advent Calendar: 4th of December

4th of December

At the next morning the three little Buttercups squalled down into the kitchen and stopped… shocked. All wish lists laid still intact on the window bench.

“Oh no!”, sniveled Elizabeth, while Anabell and Paddock looked worried at each other. That never had happened before!

Hornbull walked down the stairs, “Good morning, honeys!”
“Dad, Dad, Dad!”, the children run to their father, “Something horrible has happened! Our wish lists are still there!”
“That’s really a surprise…”, Hornbull wondered, “But I’m sure the Christkind will fetch them up soon!”

During the breakfast the children were very quiet, they all worried about their lists. Maybe they didn’t behave well over the year? Or maybe she forgot them?
Sadly they went to school and nursery. Still they hoped that the lists were gone, when they would return home.

But the shock turned into real fear when the Buttercups realized that the wish lists still weren’t picked up in the afternoon.

Tears dropped over little Elizabeth’s face, “We don’t get presents this year! We were bad children!”

Anabell laid her arms around her sister, but she also couldn’t hold her tears back.

Daisy and Hornbull found their three children depressed in Paddocks bed.

Caring their mother looked at them, “I’m so sorry.”

“I remember one Christmas many years ago… My wish list laid on the window bench for more than a week. I was so worried! But then it was suddenly gone and I got all the things I wanted at Christmas Eve.”, told Hornbull.
“Really?”, Paddock asked. His father nodded.
“Then we can wait a little longer!”

But even after the dinner the wish lists were still there. In order to deflect their children Hornbull and Daisy played a few games with them and soon it was time to go to bed.

Because Paddock was thirsty, he went down into kitchen to get himself a glass of water.

Suddenly a loud excited scream sounded through the farm: “They’re gone! They’re gone!”

Paddock run to children’s room and glanced all over his face, “Our wish lists are gone! The Christkind picked them up!”
“Yippieh!”, assuaged Elizabeth and Anabell hugged each other.

Now the Christkind knew all their wishes and Christmas Eve could come.

........................................................................

I'm so sorry that some of the pictures turned a bit dark. The lighting is horrible at the moment. I just can take pictures in the morning, because it get's darker and darker over the day. Even at 11 o clock in the moring it's already that dark, that you think it could be 6 pm O.o.

Tomorrow I'll host my giveaway, so please take a look :).

Yours Kyra

  3. Another great one! I loved the drama in this one, it made me laugh. I adore the sweet little hug between Anabel and Elizabeth. :) The day lighting here too is wacky, I dislike having night come early...It's hard to take pictures isn't it! D:

  6. Aww, glad the Christkind picked them up! I would have been scared as a child if I thought that Santa didn't get my wishlist! But I guess the Christkind wanted to add a bit of suspense to the Christmas time for the Buttercups! ;) Great story as usual! <3

  10. This family is growing on me! They are so adorable! For the light issue, did you check if your camera has a "Low Light" option? It means that you will be taking photos indoors or when light are low so you will need extra light but now the flash.
